venting

I am stressing about how I don’t get enough sleep at night and how busy I am in the day. First I wake up at 6 AM. Get ready then at 6:25 I leave to go to my early bird weights class. Then I work out for a hour and a half until 7:50 then I take a quick shower in my swimming suit at the school. Then I go and get help in my math class for the last 10 minutes and then go to school till 3:00. After that I eat a quick snack and hurry to get to work. At 5:30 I am allowed to go home. Then do history homework EVERYNIGHT and any additional work I was assigned to take home. So after getting school out of the way I will do chores which doesn’t take too long and then sit on the couch and wait till dinner. That is my normal day.

Also this year my grades have been suffering terribly. Usually I have a 3.8 grade point average but now it has dropped. Pre-calculus has been one of the classes I struggle in. at the beginning of the year I just didn’t understand anything.

Being outdoors is nice. It gives me a feeling of comfort and outside is where all the fun things happen, epically in the desert and mountains.

You as a writer

You as a writer

For me personally, I started to learn how to write when I was in the 4th and 5th grades. In 4th grade I
learned that writing a paper wasn’t as bad as I thought it was. Then, in 5th grade, I started to learn the
basics of how a real writer writes. Like learning how to use punctuation and learning how to come up with
ideas so I could write a story.

My mom was the earliest influence on me on learning how to write. She was a very positive thinker and
influencer, and showed me other perspectives on how to write. Her influence showed me that I can write
about stuff that was confusing to me. She would help explain the parts that were confusing to me and then
she would help me come up with an idea to write about. Without my mom I think I wouldn’t have been to
understand some of the things I learned in school and I would be behind everyone.

I like to write, the only problem is I have a hard time coming up with a good topic to write about. In
my 9th grade honors class that when I felt I had a dramatic change in my writing. In that class I learned that you couldn’t just slap something together right before class and expect to get a good grade on it. You had to
really work in that class and you had to pay attention to everything she said. I feel after taking two full years
of honors language arts it has increased my ability to write a lot more than, compared to not taking honors
English. On a scale 1-10 I would rate myself around a 7.5 to an 8. After this year of language arts I would
like to be a strong 8 to a 9.

The place where I best write is upstairs in the dining room on the counter when it is quiet. I also write
better with a glass of milk and a little snack like a cookie or some chips and popcorn. I am that kind of
writer that when I start writing a paper I have to get it done before I can stop. Unless I get too frustrated
than I have to take a little break for like 10-20 minutes and calm down. Usually after those little breaks I
seem to write a lot better.

My weakness in writing is coming up with a good topic or an idea to write about. I usually come up with
dumb little things that don’t really fallow the story line or support my writing. One of my good strengths in
writing is once I come up with a good topic I could go on and on about it. When I have to write something
for like a health class or like something that isn’t too serious than my writing usually changes a lot, I usually
goof off a little more and write about dumb things, but in like a letter to my grandma, or something in
language arts my writing changes to being serious. I usually don’t write in a journal but when I do something
awesome like this summer I went on a 50 mile hike I will write in a journal about that.
